Monroe Farmers Market annual Picklefest is July 14
This Friday, 7/14, stop by the Monroe Farmers Market for their annual PICKLEFEST! There’s no better way to celebrate the bumper crops of cucumbers coming in for all our Farmers.
There will be pickle samples at the Tasting Tent courtesy of Carrot Top Kitchens, as well as samples of pickle lemonade and pickle popsicles will be available for purchase. There will be pickle baked goods such as focaccia and scones, as well as cucumber Italian ice, pickle kettle corn and pickle based pork empanadas. Of course all of our Farmers will have plenty of cucumbers on hand for your to purchase since cucumbers are just pickle ‘wannabes’.
For the kids, there will be a free ‘Make your own Pickles’ activity, face painting, tattoos and even a Pickle parade with our pickle royalty. Wear something green and receive a $1 token (first 100 customers)!
Music this week is the popular Altar Ego Band that knows how to bring the party vibe and will have you singing along with your favorite songs.
