Fitness & Health Day is September 17th in Westport
Join local businesses promoting a healthy lifestyle
WESTPORT – The Westport Downtown Association is pleased to reprise the Downtown Fitness & Health Day, aimed at supporting our local health and exercise businesses and promoting a healthy lifestyle for all Westport residents.
Fleet Feet will kick off the day by hosting a 5k run at 9:00 am. Dave Wright, owner of Fleet Feet remarks “Please join us for the Westport Health & Fitness 5k / Kid’s Run in downtown Westport. Pre Registration is required: https://runsignup.com/Race/CT/Westport/WestportHealthFitness5k2022 .“
WDA has also partnered with many leading local fitness studios including TAP Strength, Club Sweat, Pure Barre, Row House, Pause + Purpose, Kaia Yoga Centers and Body Shock to give participants fun and rigorous outdoor exercise classes between 10am and 4pm on Main Street. To register for a free class please contact the individual class providers.
There will be a lot to see and learn throughout the day – if you are pondering how to up your fitness game, this is the best place to see options all on one block! Other health and wellness partners and supporters include Fleet Feet, Club Sweat, Pause & Purpose, Westport Medical and Wellness, Kaia Yoga Centers, BodyShock, Athleta, Indigo Wellness Group, and the Westport/Weston YMCA. This is a great chance to be proactive about your wellness heading into the Fall & Winter months ahead. This event is also supported by Anderson Renewal, David Adam Realty, Manna Toast, Randel Law Offices, Frontier, Equals Human and Joli Lily. The Alzheimer’s Association and the Circle of Care for Families of Children with Cancer will also be on site with information about the ribbons they have hung in the area during the month of September.

All classes are set up as outdoor exhibition areas for all to see as they are walking down Main Street. Whether you participate or observe, you are sure to love the energy and fun you witness from the range of classes and demonstrations presented.
