India HIcks

Designer and entrepreneur India Hicks in conversation at MoCA Westport on May 12

[Westport, CT, April 25, 2022]: MoCA [Museum of Contemporary Art] Westport announces a special event featuring designer, entrepreneur and humanitarian India Hicks on Thursday, May 12 from 5 – 7 PM. Daughter of the late famed interior designer David Hicks and goddaughter to Prince Charles, Hicks is known for her irreverent take on style.

Following a cocktail hour, India will sit down with CTC&G (Connecticut Cottages & Gardens) Editorial Director DJ Carey to speak about her most recent book, An Entertaining Story, and will share her slightly madcap spin on entertaining, tablescapes, and unforgettable family anecdotes.

Ticket price includes hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and a copy of India’s book, An Entertaining Story. Hicks will be available to sign books after the conversation.

Guests will also get a sneak peek of Hick’s new collaboration with Tusting, a British luxury brand specializing in beautiful bags and leather goods designed and handcrafted in England. Selected bags from the limited collection will be available for purchase as part of the event.

“We are thrilled to have India here at MoCA to share her unique perspective and experiences. We welcome the extended community to join us for this special event,” stated Cynthia Dempster, MoCA Westport’s Director of Donor Cultivation and Sponsorships.

The event will take place within the context of MoCA Westport’s current exhibition, Punk is Coming, a diverse group exhibition featuring over 50 photographers, filmmakers and artists whose work defined the punk era in the 1970’s in New York City, London, Los Angeles and other cities around the world.

Tickets for the event are $100/person. The funds raised from the event will be used to support inspiring visual arts, performing arts and educational offerings for the community.

Space for the event is limited; to secure tickets please visit mocawestport.org or call 203/222-7070.

MoCA Westport has partnered with Delamar Southport Hotel and Artisan Restaurant on two special benefits for event attendees.
